This rarely-performed musical (music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar) won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Book and Best Score. Employing the time honored "show-within-a-show" technique, the current-day story begins in the shabby Manhattan apartment of a quirky, lonely gentleman known only to the audience as "Man in Chair." He speaks directly to the audience about life, love and his favorite past time, live theatre. He then asks the audience to listen along with him as he plays the album of his favorite (fictional) 1928 musical comedy called "The Drowsy Chaperone." The play begins to unfold in his very apartment as he comments occasionally on the plot, song or even the fictional actors playing his favorite characters. It is a loving spoof-cum-homage of golden age musicals. This promises to be an all-star cast delivering an evening of rousing musical comedy fun for the entire family.

- On Saturday and Sunday, a schedule of 30-minute events will be taking place throughout the day at the stores throughout Spring Lake (In-store fashion shows, trunk shows, give-aways + more).
