  • July 3 - (rain date July 4) July Fourth Holiday Celebration/Art Walk
  • July 12 thru 14 - Caribbean Carnival Celebration is an exuberant performance highlighting keyboards and congas, TAINO celebrates the Latin American Caribbean music of Guarjira, Mambo and Salsa, with Reggae thrown in.   • July 12th thru August 15 - Sunlight by Sharr White is the story of liberal lion and university president Matthew Gibson who may have finally gone too far in his battle against the conservative dean of the law school - his son-in-law and former protégé. The personal and political collide in this stunning new drama about loyalty, power, and the moral dilemma over whether or not torture can ever be justified.   • July 14 (rain date July 15) – Garden Club of Spring Lake will hold its 2010 Garden Tour, Wednesday July14th (rain date July 15th) from 10:00am-3:00pm. Nine lovely private gardens will be on the tour and artists from the Plein Air Painters of the Jersey Coast will be at all locations creating scenes from each garden. This art work will be on display and for sale at Frederick Galleries, 1405-1 Third Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ 07762. A reception showcasing artwork from the Garden Club Tour will be held at Frederick Galleries Sunday, July 18, 2-5pm. The public is welcome.
  • July 14th BELMAR Annual Sandcastle Contest

  • July 21 - Spring Lake Library. Third Annual Art Show. 6-9 pm.
  • July 24 - Walking Tour. The Spring Lake Historical Society will conduct a walking tour of the Third Avenue Business District between 9:00 and 11:00 am. Tours will begin every 15 minutes. Each tour will start at the Divine Park flag pole located at the intersection of Third and Passaic Avenues. Walk through the Third Avenue memories of horses and carriages, livery stables, pharmacies, soda fountains, movie theaters, tailor shops and more.   • July 29, 30, 31 – Shakespeare in the Park "Twelfth Night" 7:30 PM with a pre-show talk at 7:15 PM Divine Park, along Passaic Avenue between 4th and 5th Avenues, Spring Lake Tickets -Free. Seating is on the swale in the grass; please bring beach chair or folding chairs/blankets. www.shakespearebythesea.net This is the fifth annual production by spring Lake Shakespeare in the Park. "Twelfth Night" is a riotous comedy that is fueled by romance and mistaken identity.
  • July 29 - Freehold Kruise Nite is a chance to see beautifully maintained and restored classic automobiles are abundant on Kruise Night, one of the region's largest and popular classic car events.   • July 30 & 31 - The Au Pair Man by the Irish author Hugh Leonard, was first produced and published in 1962. The play is a reversed-gender Pygmalion. In The Au Pair Man, Eugene, a rough Irish bill collector, becomes a sexual slave to Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers, a wealthy English lady, who tries to turn him into a gentleman. The play is a satirical allegory regarding the battle between Britain and Ireland. It is also a witty comedy of Anglo-Irish manners, full of amusing observations reminiscent of the styles of George Bernard Shaw and Oscar Wilde.Showtime is 8 pm at the Lauren K. September 2010

  • September 13 - Spring Lake Library. Self Hypnosis for Stress Management.The program is part of Monmouth Medical Center Community Health Education. The program is free.
  • September 30 - Autumn in New York Tour. Join us for a Bus Trip to New York City to visit the Frick Collection at 1 East 70th St. The guided tour will start at 11 am and last about 25 minutes. There will be free time to explore the museum and area. Then at 2 PM we will visit the historic Gracie Mansion for a Tea and Tour. A delicious selection of homemade tea sandwiches, teacakes and scones will be served. The bus will leave the Spring Lake Railroad station at 9:15 am. The cost for this trip is $90.00.
